Virtual

2023 Data Literacy Institute Convening

As a member of the Powered by Publics community, you are invited to the Data Literacy Institute’s virtual convening on May 15th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Eastern Time.  Register here to learn how nine PxP institutions benefited from bringing together a cross functional group of individuals who addressed student success issues using data and analytics.

The Data Literacy Institute (DLI) is a partnership effort of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU) and the Association of Institutional Research (AIR), with support from Ascendium Education Group. The DLI aimed to improve data literacy among faculty and staff at 10 institutions with the broader goal of improving student success outcomes. Central to this goal is increasing skills and knowledge in the use of data to inform strategic, tactical, and operational decisions related to student success.

Representatives from participating institutions will present the results of their experience with the DLI, including the problems they sought to address with data on campus. Convening participants will be invited to share challenges they face in their own work, and hear recommendations for building a more data literate culture on campus.

The virtual DLI Convening is free.  A recording of the event will be made available for review and to those who could not attend.
